| | Repelling bees? | | I bought my 2 year old daughter a small plastic pool to keep her cool during the day. Well, I won't let her play in it because there are so many yellow jackets constantly in it. Is there something that I can put in the water to repel them? Or something I can put next to the pool?? The only thing I can think of is a yellow jacket trap, but if there's something that would work that I'd have around the house that would be great. I've looked around online and can't seem to find anything, but thought I'd ask anyways. | |
| | saturday | | I thought we could go to the Estuary center and shoot some pictures, get some excercise, and everything was going swimmingly until I got stung, needless to say I started breaking out, and thankfully it was a wasp or yellow jacket because I'm allergic to bee stings, so we ended up hiking back to the car, and getting som benydryl down me so as to help stop the reaction, and then we got to a drug store and bought me some camphophonique, and cotton balls, and an over the counter in haler, as it was one thing I lacked in the woods.and after we had gotten some lunch drove around, we were ready to come home and then I saw a hot air balloon and we chased the balloon for some kewl shots.....my kids were getting restless and we went to DJ liquidators, to get some cheap cereal (1.50 a box), and some drinks and stuff that we can really use.....And of course a shopping trip to Target (yes I may have paid a bit more) for socks and underwear for everyone......its one of those things that seem to get so ratty.....But we were gone all day, and thankfully I am home for the night and will be glad to stay home tomorrow --- so once my kid come home from church my huband and boys will get... | |

| | YM Philippines Now An Indian Chat | | Four months ago, I met a guy on YM chatroom. He identified himself as 28 years old from New Jersey, USA and he's a software engineer.. He didnt have a webcam, just a photo of a gorgeous american guy in a yellow jacket. We became regular chatmates for two months until he made a confession that in reality he is an indian from india, 22 years old, a student.. I am not sure when it started that a Philippine YM became international.. It was 2004 when i learned how to chat in YM and it was plain filipino chatters. Until last December 2006 that i began chatting again, major chatters were indians. You will first know them when they buzz you for chat, in exchanging asl because they wont give you their location.. It seems that they are shy to tell they are from india. I was able to talk with someone who said he is from canada and eventually he admitted he is from india. He said nobody wants to chat with him when he discloses his real location. True most probably that most filipina chatters dont give time to chat with indians because of cultural and religious differences.. Though i can say that indians are good chatters. They have good english too. But then just a matter of preference for a... | |
| | What A DAY!!!!! | | Hello my friends on mylot. I felt the need to share with you what kind of Tuesday that I had. For those of you that have been following me, I finally found a place to rent. I had some business stuff to take care of before we actually started to work on the place and get moved.
My day started at 9:00AM on Tuesday. I had a doctors appointment in a nearby town. I am suspose to be seeing him once a month. Well with everything going on I haven't been there for two months. So lets just say that he wasn't too happy with me. I got my butt jumped by the doctor..LOL
I then had to go to the car lot where my husband had bought his truck at several months back. He had sold the truck to his company that he works for so I needed to pay it off and get a lien release. I had called the guy earlier this week and told him I would be in. He gave me a payoff amount, which I wasnt too happy with. So, when I got there he wasn't there. This lot has a co-owner at another lot. I went there to get the paper work. WELL, the payoff was different. It was like $600 dollars different toward my good. The guy was going to try and keep that much money out of us. I wasn't a happy camper at this point for sure.

| | Anyone seen that yellow jackets are bad this year? | | This year we are being taken over by yellow jackets. I have never seen them this bad. The past 2 weeks we have had thousands of them in the yard and around the porch. They get angry very fast so I cant even let the kids go out and play on the weekends. The school is telling kids if they see them on the play ground to tell the teacher on duty, then kids are all sent inside for recess. I hate to say it but someone said this means a very bad winter this year. With the cold coming early this year and snow in places it may be true.Have you got a yellow jacket problem to?? | |
| | And yesterday just kept getting interesting | | Besides the unwanted visitor yesterday, the snake, I had another wonderful moment. We were on our way home, just a few blocks from the house, when something hit my arm and landed between my legs, to be polite. I looked down and there was a yellow jacket. Not an area one wishes to get stung in! I sat very still until we pulled up into our yard. I saw something fly out beside me but couldn't tell what. I lept from the truck and thankfully it was gone.
I was kinda glad to be home and safe and sound in my house after that. So far so good today.
