| Kicking it old school, black and white style! | | Do any of you still own black and white televisions?A friend of mine bought one from a yard sale a few weeks ago. He hooked up his Nintendo to it, and we played double dragon for a while. It was kinda fun, so we decided to try and play more modern video games on it, just to see what it would be like.Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 games on a black and white tv are not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. | |
| | Does anyone know any good Old School hip hop, pop, R&B songs? | | I'm an Old School type of person and I like to take it back. I accept many Old School songs. They all had rhythm and flow and weren't just being pushed out to make a hit single or make a record. The music nowadays all are being made for monetary reasons. I just feel more soul in the older type of music. Do you think the music/noise of today's music gets repetitive or are we advancing into a new style? A Gaga style?Basically throw me some hip hop, pop, or r&b songs that you appreciated back in the day. Examples are:
-The King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson
-Next(So Close and Wifey)
-Disney Songs=)

We are talking about several years ago to say the least. I am amazed at how many people I can still name, even the friends that I have not seen or heard from in years and years.Can you do the same, give it a try, it really brings back some good memories.Have fun..... | |
| | | What is your guys favorite old school cartoons? Who misses old school cartoons? | | My favorite cartoons were action cartoons, particularly DC and Marvel cartoons. I miss the old school X-men, Spiderman, Batman, Superman, and even the Justice League. What I did not like was Static Shock, because it was too childish. What are your guys favorite old school cartoons. You can talk about anything from Loony Tunes to Gargoyles. Whatever cartoons you miss and remember or even still watch.=) | |
| | are candle light dinners too old school? | | if you wanted to do somthing special for your lover, would a candle light dinner be too ordinary? it is so common...what else can someone do to make that special evening romantic, but not old fashioned? | |
| | Do you have any updates with your old school bully? | | The one of the kids who use to bully me during elementary was one of my officemates now but he doesn't recognize me since I was changed a lot but his face never changed, I dont talk to him because he was from another account, There are times I still want to punch his face but the fact that he forgotten my existence and we can have a peaceful cohabitation was okay, but if he recognize me and tried messing up with me again, I might &%^%*$ out of him, i'm taller and stronger than him now, he seemed like a changed person though.One of the kids who also use to bully me in elementary was now living in poverty. Dont call me mean or rude but i cant stop smiling seeing him picking up garbage. Do you have any updates with your school bullies? | |

| | What do you think of rap songs with old-school samples in them? | | Has anyone else noticed the abundance of (mainstream) rap songs on the radio that use samples from older "classic" songs, keeping a similar melody & beat but obviously changing the words? What do you think about this? I have a trouble time deciding myself. Some songs, I feel, do a good job at re-vamping the older song and putting a hip hop twist on it, but other songs just RUIN the older version. Some examples of "newer" rap songs with samples:
T.I. & Rihanna's "Live Your Life"
Flo Rida's "Lips like Sugar"
& so on.So which do you think, generally? Do you think rap stars using samples is a good thing - in that it re-vamps the old song and allows for cross-genre music? Or do you think that these songs are generally a disgrace to their older, and usually better versions?What are some GOOD "sample" songs that you can think of off the top of your head?
