| Astro-squirrels' use coconut shells as helmets | | I thought this was funny when I saw the article and the pic.
A lady suspends two coconuts week from a tree and watches the squirrels as they dig into the coconuts. | | helmets,gloves,pads - protective gears? dont think so | | hi friends.just another thought that crept into my mind lately.its about protective gears.you know things like helmets.pads.gloves .etc.but are they really protecting the players?the last time i checked them,they were doing a very bad job.[b]let me cite some instances.1.idea cup finals.kulasekara bowls a ball to gambhir which might not have hit the leg stump but because of the thigh pad,the ball got deflected and hit the OFF STUMP.2.dwayne barvo to kevin pieterson.bravo bowls a very good bouncer.it hits KP's helmet.dislodges it and the helmet falls on to the stumps breaking the wicket.3.monty panesar to inzamam-ul-haq.inzy tries a sweep shot which goes horribly wrong and he had to jump over the stumps to prevent himself from a hit wicket but the flaps of his pads dislodges the bails.4.bhajji to jaques kallis.the ball bounces a lil more than usual,hit the thigh pad and bounces back to the gloves which gets deflected onto the stumps leaving kallis shocked.5.bret lee to some a player from a non-test playing nation.bowls a short ball outside off.the batsmen leaves the ball but the ball bounced a lot higher,hit the arm gaurd and deflects back to... | |

| | Do you think motorcycle riders should wear helmets? | | While I was in Indiana, I saw several motorcylce riders witout helmets. I questioned my b/f about it because in my state it is required to always wear a helmet. I am all about personal choices but after further research I found there are several states in which there is no helmet law. I personally would not ride without one but I was raised in a place where you couldn't. What do you think? Should everyone wear them or do you think it's ok that they don't? Is there a helmet law where you are? | |
| | more people don't wear helmets! | | motorcycles on the streets are growing in numbers. frequent accidents are also caused by these motorcycle riders. numerous reasons contributed to these hazards. it adds more havoc when drivers and passengers don't wear helmets. motorcycle riding needs protection for eyes, arms, legs and especially heads.obviously, these riders put themselves into harm's way and not wearing helmets too. the reason behind these are that people get lazy of wearing head gears and sometimes find them bulky to have them. why do these people exchange their lives to this kind of behavior? what's your side? | |

a motor bike or motor cycle.I think it's supposed to prevent death in the
event of a crash.Some bikers hate it and refuse to wear
helmets.And, it's recommended that bike riders
wear helmets or protective gear as well.But not everyone does it.It's not that way everywhere,
but I think that it does reduce injuries during
