You sneered at us and mocked our "decadence", you laugh at our misery and revel in our decline. You talk smack about our dollar and speak of replacing it as a universal currency. I'm not highly educated, or even particularly politically savvy, but I can see things for what they are and am not afraid to call it as I see it and I say this, "SCREW YOU SABU!" Your "the sky is falling" harpy screeches on the MYTH of global warming has been exposed as the SCAM it is and we ain't buying it. Dubai, a country hundreds of times more decadent and extravagant than the USA is in financial turmoil and oil prices are coming down.
Yeah, America is has fallen on hard times, but we are strong people and we are not stupid. We WILL rise again and when that happens you best get out of the way. You enjoy your false sense of superiority while you can, you elitist bas-tards. Our inept groveling head of state will not be there forever and in a few years we'll once again have a REAL leader and we WILL come back, stronger, faster and more badass than ever. He says he wants to avoid "political theater" and political "stagecraft". If that is true, why is he bringing KSM and the 9/11 conspirators to New York for a splashy trial? It's the equivalent of opening on Broadway, don't you think? The defense for KSM will get during discovery all sorts of classified information and they get to make the CIA and the interrogators look sadistic and cruel. What a show! So why no theater for Ft Hood? Well, I have compiled a multiple choice list of possible reasons:1. Exposing the debacle that was this investigation into Hasan will show that the FBI, the CIA and the Military had their hands tied by a fear of retribution or charges of discrimination if they pursued this case because Hasan is a Muslim.2. Diversity is more important than national security.3. It might make people nervous that Obama appointed a devout Muslim as Asst Secretary of Homeland Security.4. Hood. | | [b]The terms "politically correct (P.C.)" & "war" are so at odds they shouldn't be in the same breath, let alone in the military. The 2 are anathema!P.C.ism is the enemy of freedom. The tool of totalitarianism. Further, the military is--by virtue of its profoundly[i]necessary[/i] nature--[i]not about "diversity!"[/i] In fact, it's deliberately designed to have its soldiers kneel to Uniformity as is humanly possible. There's a[i]reason[/i] the soldiers wear[i]u n i f o r m s[/i], to put a fine point on it. They live extremely regimented lives. They all take the same loyalty oaths, all expected to adhere to the same mindset about obedience, rules & goals, all rise & retire at the same hour, eat the same foods, do the same tasks, even wear the same clothes, barring symbols of rank.Throughout time, history has proven that[i]when an army does this[/i], it forges a disparate group of men (& only lately--some women, but that's another post...) into a single, hard as steel weapon. | | The tradgedy at Ft Hood, showing respect.................didn't get that memo!!! | | I live in a small town in Texas, and as I watched the events unfold last Thursday, I also saw Texas' Governor announce that all flags in the state of Texas would be flown at half-staff through Sunday. I immediately went out and lowered the flags at my Dad's to half. Later that day I went in to the nearest 'big' town and could not believe how many flags were not lowered in respect to those who had lost their lives that day! I did stop at several places and went in and asked who was in charge of the flag and told them it should be at half-staff order of the Governor. All the banks and larger businesses had already done so. However, a few of those that I stopped and told were a U.S. office, a post office and a public school!! I was told twice that they had not received that memo!!! Do you have to receive a memo to be American and show your respect?! Did anyone else witness this kind of disrespect? | |
| | Thank goodness he wasn't at Ft.Hood when the shootings happen! | | I have a male friend who is currently stationed at Ft.Hood. I knew he was on leave but didn't know how long. My friend recently got done with basic Training and was visiting his family just before the shootings happen! I did not know at first if he was back at Fort Hood when this all happen but luckliy he was atill visiting family and friends when this happen! Thank goodness he is a Facebook friend and he let all his friends know where he was! I can't imagine what the families of the soldiers who were killed in that shooting are going through! I hope something like this never happens again! | |
| | | Kids need booster seats in car until 4 ft 9 inches | | I've noticed a public service message which states that even though kids have outgrown child safety seats, they are still too small for adult sized seat belts when riding in the car. It says that untilthey reach a height of four feet nine inches, they need a booster seat. It got me to thinking, what if they never reach four foot nine? Does this mean they have to have a booster seat when they are riding with their dates to prom in the limo? What about adults who are not this tall?What if they make a booster seat law like the seatbelt and helmet laws? | |
